WORK EFFORTS

One of the prime goals of the IAB is to provide advice and direction to local chapters of the IAB in creating work efforts available only to non-profit organizations.

Professional sport franchises, theme parks, multi-day concert events all hire non-profit groups to perform a multitude of duties. The money earned by such groups is paid directly to the non-profit entity the group represents.

A group of over 30 individuals has been working such an event in Eau Claire each of the past three years, earning up to $2,500 per year for their efforts. During the summer of 2006, the Green Bay Packers were advertising on local media outlets in search of non-profit groups for a variety of game day duties.

It would be the hope and goal of IAB to see 'local chapters' organized in those locations where these types of opportunities exist. The cumulative financial impact of individuals offering up to 8 hours of their day for 2-3 days a year can result in huge financial benefits to the Immanuel High School athletic program.
